T is now sixty years since
Stewarton School was first opened. This booklet is an attempt to set forth
the antecedents of the school, the school as it was at the outset, how it
impressed those who were educated, or who taught, within its walls, and
how it has come to be what it is to-day. It is hoped that the booklet will
preserve in permanent form many facts regarding the school which might
otherwise have gone unrecorded.
