Lainshaw Embankment

Although this photograph is of the memorial service at Bonnet Guild week the

back ground shows how well kept the railway embankment was, unlike today.

This part of the railway consisted of three tracks, an UP & DOWN mainline and a railhead

for the goods yard, The buffers for the goodsyard railhead are visible just before the viaduct.
