The Viaduct & Lainshaw Mill

Lainshaw Mill was built around the late 1700's and was powered by water drawn from the Annick at a dam near Kirkford down a lade which is still in place today. The water exited the mill and rejoined the Annick via a small tunnel under the main road. The mill was made famous by the small Rowan Tree which was growing from its chimney.
